Sinclair pounces on new website reveal

Shares of Sinclair Broadcast Group (NASDAQ:SBGI) rallied on Tuesday on news of the launch of the company’s redesigned and forward-looking corporate website

With an immersive, modern design and a focus on user experience, Sinclair’s comprehensive business offerings and assets come to life in the new website experience, which reflects Sinclair’s innovative commitment to content and technology. The site was built entirely in-house with the development and graphics teams from Sinclair and Compulse.

Lucy Rutishauser, Sinclair’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, served as the project’s executive sponsor and developed the overall strategy and tone of the site, along with chief marketing officer John Zeigler. Together they challenged the team to think outside the box to build the “world” of Sinclair.

Commenting on the site redesign, Rutishauser said: “When we began this process several months ago, we knew we wanted to build a site that reflects Sinclair’s creative spirit and history of innovation and leadership. But we also wanted a site that was unique, dynamic, showcasing our diversification and growth, generating positive emotions, easy to navigate and encouraging the user to explore and learn more about us.

The complete redesign includes cutting-edge web technologies and frameworks, 3D graphics with responsive design, and spatial sound to deliver an immersive user experience*. The new site highlights Sinclair’s growth pillars – marketing services, cross-platform content, data distribution, community and interactivity – and core news and sports businesses, as well as a redesigned talent recruitment platform and a new investor relations section with ESG insights and commentary.

Shares of SBGI gained 79 cents, or 4%, to $20.55.
